Poster design for various clients and projects.
The Cal Poly Pomona Theater Department commissioned the Visual Communication Design Department’s Workshop 2D class to create posters for the 2019-2020 school year’s upcoming theater shows. Students were to read all six plays and choose four for which to create posters. The imagery contained in each poster must draw from themes within the play.
Student Written Play Festival
The Student Written Play Festival is comprised of plays written by students in the Cal Poly Pomona Theater Department. At the time of creating the promotional materials, the plays had not yet been written.
Boy Gets Girl
Boy Gets Girl is a twisted story of a blind date that turns sour. Themes throughout the play include stalking, obsession, and psychological abuse.
On The Verge
On The Verge; or, The Geography of Yearning is an adventurous story of three Victorian women on expedition to explore uncharted landscapes, and find themselves also traveling through time.
This design was chosen to be the promotional poster for the play throughout the 2019-2020 school year. The poster was put into production and displayed around campus and online.
A Devised Play
The Cal Poly Pomona Theater Department set out to produce a play within the discipline of devised theatre. Themes include collaboration and improvisation. At the time of creating the promotional materials, the plays had not yet been written, as is in the nature of devised theatre.
Childhood Today
A poster series to illustrate the digital landscape young kids are faced with growing up in the 21st century.
